Excellent website which offers in-depth information, and it has a time line showing the original creation of pottery around the world. Lots of good information.
Old Florida Pottery
This website is little unusual in that it covers history for what is called "Old Florida Pottery." The time period covered is 1856 to 1966. It is a collector’s guide to history, makers of pottery and marks. It has 100 pictures of very beautiful pottery created during this time period.
The Trenton City Museum
This website is from the Trenton City Museum. It offers a comprehensive history of Trenton pottery-making, which for over a 100 years was one of the two major pottery centers in the United States.
Texas Beyond History
Cordmarked Pottery is a pottery style that originated in the eastern U.S. prior to 1000 B.C. This technique spread across the country to what is today the north-central part of the Texas panhandle. This website not only goes in depth about the history of this style of pottery, but also into the actual making of this type of pottery.
Ohio Pottery HIstory
This site gives a lot of detail on the history of pottery making in Southeastern Ohio.
