Amaco's Model AH-25 is a well-insulated, large capacity, front-loading, floor kiln that is capable of firing up to Cone 10. It's extremely safe for the classroom, and equally durable. Top-quality Kanthal 9 gauge element wires are securely housed within special element holders that are easy to replace. Two convenient storage cabinets underneath the firing chamber hold supplies and kiln furniture. Available with Select FireTM computer control. 3 Phase, 240V, UL and CSA Certified. Pottery Wheels

Alex Deluxe Pottery Wheel

I would suggest the Alex Deluxe Pottery Wheel.

Amaco Brent Model IE Potter’s Wheel

Amaco Brent Model IE Potter’s Wheel

This is the most affordable wheel from one of the most trusted names in pottery, ideal for home studios, or for transporting to workshops and demonstrations. The newly redesigned IE features a 1/4 HP , 6 amp motor to continuously handle up to 75 lbs (34 kg) of clay and a 12" (30 cm) cast and machined wheel head with removable bat pins. The sturdy wheel stands 13" (33 cm) high for tabletop use and ease of storage — or insert the adjustable legs to raise the height of the wheel head from 20"–25" (51 cm–64 cm) for floor use. New to the IE is an indestructible tabletop made of a bio-composite material that combines 100% reclaimed organic fiber with 100% recycled thermoplastic. The organic fiber is a natural by-product of the forestry industry, which means no new wood was used in the IE's manufacture. The tabletop is moisture-resistant and corrosion-proof. Other features include an optional reversing switch that offers a neutral "safety" position to assure smooth transitions when changing direction, allowing the wheel head to spin freely in both directions as a banding/decorating wheel. A permanent magnet DC motor provides dependable variable speed control, while a self-tensioning four-groove poly-v drive belt holds tight for maximum performance. The Model IE also includes a durable cast aluminum foot pedal that delivers smooth control and a speed range of 0–240 rpm , a splash plan, and a 9" (23 cm) power cord. All-steel construction assures unsurpassed strength and durability. Included with the IE are a FREE "How to Throw on a Potter's Wheel" DVD and a FREE 12" (30 cm) BioBat. Made from the same 100% bio-composite material as the tabletop, the BioBat is moisture-resistant, corrosion-proof, and splinter-proof. The Model IE carries a 10-year warranty. It weighs 78 lbs (35 kg).
